Today, after a really good walking session, I left Ella on the sofa for a minute with a toy, to fill her sippy cup. I returned to find her laying on her left side, stuck, unable to get up. Not making a sound, just looking around. The sadness of that helplessness was almost too much. The not knowing how self sufficient she will ever be.<\/p>\n<p>I want to always be around to protect her. But I won\u2019t.
